Internship in Singapore

In 2014, Singapore has included Switzerland and the University of St.Gallen in particular in the Work-Holiday Programme. This allows students to live and work in Singapore for up to 6 months with minimal requirements and bureaucratic efforts.

To apply for the Work Holiday Programme, you need to meet the following requirements (as stated by the Ministry of Manpower):

  • You are age 18 to 25
  • You are an undergraduate of a university [...] in Switzerland
  • Your university is recognized by the government of the respective country (University of St.Gallen is recognized)
  • For undergraduates: you have been a resident and a full-time student of the university for at least 3 months before applying for the pass

You will find more information about the requirements and application process here.

We encourage Asia Term students to do an internship in Singapore after the Asia Term. To facilitate the contact between companies and Asia Term students, the Asia Term administration aims to distribute internship offers from companies based in Singapore to the Asia Term students. This will be done via email.
