The Business Development in Asia course is a three-day intensive course during the introduction week of the Asia Term.
Asia, one of the most dynamic economic regions, is for many companies the most important current or prospective growth market. Business development, i.e. tasks and processes aiming at identifying and realizing growth opportunities, is key to scoping with the region's growth opportunities. Two contingent factors need to be considered to fully understand business development (core) in Asia: the different business systems within Asia (context) and the lifecycle of organizations (cycle).
The course is designed to provide students with insights from the latest strategy, entrepreneurship and comparative management thinking to better understand how business development can create value. Upon completion of the course, the participants should be prepared to act on this understanding when working for a multinational, a local player or when starting their venture.
