On January 17, 2024, the St.Gallen Institute of Management in Asia (SGI) represented the University of St.Gallen (HSG) at the annual Study Abroad Fair at Singapore Management University (SMU). The fair introduces SMU students to various study abroad options, from semester-long exchange programmes to summer schools, as well as the various partner universities that students could choose from.
The fair saw high demand and interest for HSG as an exchange destination of choice. Over 200 eager SMU students stopped by the booth to learn more about student and academic life at St.Gallen. They asked many great and engaging questions, ranging from how lectures and exams were conducted at HSG to the best travel opportunities they could look forward to when living in Switzerland.
We were very fortunate to have had the support of Ms. Julia Koweindl (BBWL), an Asia Term alumna from 2023, currently in Singapore on an internship with LGT bank, who took the time from a busy schedule to share direct insights to what it means to be a student at HSG and the exciting activities and clubs available. Ms. Geraldine Klein (BIA), currently in Singapore on a 3-month overseas attachment for the St.Gallen Symposium, also rendered her kind support at the HSG booth, providing valuable advice to SMU students on various topics such as course bidding, housing tips and travel recommendations.
