2025 Summer School in Asia

In August 2025, 24 students—primarily from leading European high schools—were invited to join the HSG Summer School in Singapore for a two-week program focused on entrepreneurship, innovation, and strategic thinking in one of Asia’s most vibrant business environments. Organized by the St.Gallen Institute of Management in Asia (SGI-HSG) and led by Professor Dr. Matthias Tietz, the program combined academic instruction, company exposure, and curated cultural experiences.

Key topics included digital transformation, venture development, sustainability, and design thinking. Delivered through interactive lectures and project-based learning, the sessions provided practical insight into doing business in Southeast Asia.

Corporate visits were central to the experience. Students engaged with UBS, Dell Technologies, Bloomberg, Kardex, StashAway, and Porsche Asia Pacific—gaining first-hand exposure to leadership perspectives across finance, tech, logistics, and consumer industries. A morning of volunteer service with Willing Hearts added a meaningful social dimension.

Cultural highlights included a dinner in Arab Street, a BBQ at East Coast Park, a Chinese-style group dinner, and a rooftop farewell celebration at Mr. Stork. These moments fostered connection, reflection, and cultural awareness.

The Summer School Asia 2025 offered a rigorous and immersive introduction to regional business, while strengthening the global reach of the HSG Summer School network.
