Charlotte gained her Doctor in Business and Economics from the University of Oldenburg (Chair of Entrepreneurship) in 2016. As Visiting Scholar at Kelley School of Business (Bloomington, Indiana University) and Babson College (Boston), she focused her research on founder management and myopic investment behavior. Her research was supported by grants from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the Heinz-Neumüller Foundation (CEWE Color), and the Hayek Fund for Scholars. Charlotte received a Diploma in Business Administration with a focus on Finance, Marketing, and Strategic Management from Freie Universität Berlin (2010) and studied at Aarhus University/School of Business (2007). |
Professional Career |
Charlotte joined the SGI as General Manager and Senior Research Fellow in May 2020. She is also a Visiting Faculty at Singapore Management University. Prior to working with SGI, Charlotte worked as Senior Research Associate (Postdoc) and Lecturer at the Chair of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Technical University in Dresden; and as Research Associate and Lecturer at the Chair of Entrepreneurship at University of Oldenburg where she taught classes in the fields of Technology and Innovation Management, Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital. During that time, she also worked as a freelance consultant on different projects with a focus on business model development and transformation, as well as on a start-up sale. She did various internships and held positions in the private sector (e.g., at Procter & Gamble, BMW, Bilfinger Berger, Volkswagen de México). |
