Asia Term Welcome Dinner On 11 August 2016, the St.Gallen Institute of Management in Asia celebrated the Welcome Dinner of the HSG Asia Term, its flagship exchange program at the Bachelor's level. This year, a record 66 students are participating in this program. Most students have their major in Business Administration. The students will stay in Singapore from August to December, studying one exchange semester at the Singapore Management University. The dinner was held at Red Star Restaurant, which was established in 1974. A highlight of the dinner was a dialogue with chefs Sin Leong and Hooi Kok Wai, co-owners of the restaurant and Singapore's two remaining Heavenly Kings of Cantonese cuisine. They shared with the students their incredible journeys from kitchen boys to top chefs. The students also had the opportunity to sample the chefs’ signature creations such as the yam basket and USA duck. It was a great introduction not only to the flavours of Cantonese cuisine, but also yielded life lessons on entrepreneurship.
