With company visits to Changi Airport, the Seletar Aerospace Park (SAP), Airbus Asia Training Center, Bell Helicopter and tours to the City Hall, the participants were able to explore Singapore’s thriving business, social and cultural scene. Through guest lectures from SwissRe, Credit Suisse and the St.Gallen Institute, the students learned about the variety of the Aviation industry and macro-economic aspects in the region.
The course “Asia Compact: Aviation Management” is run by Dr Andreas Wittmer and developed as a yearly, interdisciplinary course on the master level. The location was chosen because the Aviation industry has the highest growth rate in Asia and is a key driver for growth in this market. For this reason, students visited various interesting «use cases» in the sector of aviation in specific and mobility in general to get hands-on insights from industry and science on this highly relevant topic. Thanks to everyone for this year's very successful and interesting course Aviation Management in Singapore.
